I am Colleen Bredenbeck and I love being part of the CPS community. I have been in primary education for a number of years and I have taught Years 0, 1 and 2 for the past few years.
Going on the learning journey with children is always exciting as we challenge each other, discover, explore new ideas and best of all have fun. I love having a bright and inviting learning environment so children are proud of their class, feel like they belong and have ownership of their learning.
One of my favourite things to do is spend time with my family at the lake where I am often putting myself out of my comfort zone, wakeboarding and mountain biking.
I am always excited to meet new families and be part of the CPS family.

Hi I'm Johanna Shortt-Smith, I'm a teacher working with amazing CPS learners. I have one son currently attending CPS, and two other sons who previous attended, and loved every minute of it. As a former classroom teacher, I'm loving the role as a learning assistant, putting my old teaching skills to use, and supporting our wonderful CPS teachers and students.

Kia Ora! My name is Monique Shuker. I’ve taught Yr 7&8 for the past 5 years. In this role I’ve been a Team Leader, Sports Leader and Camp Organiser and also worked with the Waiuku Kaahui Ako. EOTC is a big passion of mine. I love to read, go for hikes and play hockey. We have a family Dairy Farm in Waiuku where I grew up, so I’m no stranger to helping out on the farm and being in the cowshed. Spending time with my family is one of my favourite things to do. I’m very excited to get to know the Cambridge community!
Teacher- Rooms 17 - Year 0
Kia Ora, my name is Briar Cooper. I am currently working part-time here at CPS, as I have two young children at home. This year I am teaching New Entrants's in Room 17. I have been teaching at Cambridge Primary for 12 years and absolutely love it. I enjoy working with children, watching the growth in their learning is so rewarding. I love supporting children in their transition into school. CPS is a place where children are motivated and actively engaged. Students feel safe, take risks, and we celebrate their successes.
My time outside of school is spent with my husband and our two kids, our dog Lunar and my extended whanaau and friends. In our spare time, we love to travel, spend time at the beach, on the boat and explore new places.
